The XV IPOPI Global PID Patients Meeting is just days away and IPOPI Board members and staff members are handling the finishing touches to welcoming all National Member Organisations (NMOs) at the Lisbon Conference Center, between October 24-27.

IPOPI members can look forward to taking part in a skills-building programme with several interactive workshops that will help them better manage their patient groups, medical lectures on the latest PID developments and industry sessions on immunoglobulin access, all designed to meet their needs.

The programme is designed to facilitate a lot of interaction between members allowing them to share experiences, learn from each other and take back home new ideas to explore!

On the evening of October 25 IPOPI will host the ‘IPOPI PID Champions Awards Ceremony’. During this gathering, the LeBien Award (which distinguishes an adult who has improved conditions for people with PIDs internationally) and the Luciano Vassalli Award (which distinguishes a young person’s contributions to the PID community) will be handed to their recipients. This time there will also be a celebration of IPOPI’s 26-year anniversary with many surprises to come!

On the morning of October 27, to close the meeting with a fun experience in Lisbon a social programme will take participants around the museum area of Belém for a scavenger hunt photo challenge.

The IPOPI Global PID Patients’ Meeting is organised in collaboration with the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) and the International Nursing Group for Immunodeficiencies (INGID).
