XV IPOPI Biennial meeting in Lisbon

IPOPI is pleased to announce that its XVth Biennial Meeting will be organised later this year between October 24-27 in the amazing city of Lisbon, Portugal, in collaboration with the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) and the International Nursing Group for Immunodeficiencies (INGID). A three-day educational programme followed by a social programme on the last day is carefully being prepared. We are looking forward to meeting with all our members during this important information sharing and learning event!

This year’s IPOPI Biennial Meeting programme will feature several lectures and interactive workshops designed to meet our National Member Organisations (NMOs) needs. There is a lot to expect, including public relations, development of national strategies, fundraising and even a session on ethics.

Invited physicians will discuss the latest developments on medical issues, such as, immunoglobulins, new emerging treatment options as well as a more holistic approach to primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) care.
The plasma industry is also invited and participants will have the opportunity to learn about the production of immunoglobulins, supply and distribution.

During the meeting, on October 25, IPOPI will host an Awards Ceremony where the Luciano Vassalli award, which distinguishes a young person’s contributions to the PID community, and the LeBien Award, which distinguishes an adult who has improved conditions for people with PIDs internationally will be presented. Attendance to the awards ceremony is solely reserved for IPOPI’s national member organisation representatives and other selected guests.

We take this opportunity to remind our National Member Organisations and stakeholders to promptly make their travel and accommodation arrangements and to note that the early bird registration deadline is July 24!
The programme of IPOPI’s Biennial Meeting will be made available shortly!
