IPOPI was pleased to attend the European Society for immunodeficiencies (ESID) focused meeting in Brussels, Belgium focused on the links between primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs), infections and malignancy and gathered 1500 participants, most of which were researchers of these fields.

ESID 2019 featured interesting discussions focusing on PIDs with a well-known increased risk of malignancy, such as DNA repair disorders, CVID, T cell deficiency. The impact of viral infections on the development of malignancies, the immunology of the tumor microenvironment but also issues regarding pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and screening were approached from different perspectives.
