World Primary Immunodeficiencies Week (WPIW) was celebrated in Romania with the full cooperation of the PID community receiving significant media attention.

The observation of the Week started in Timisoara with a wonderful event organised in cooperation with ARPID (Romanian Association for Patients with Primary Immunodeficiencies), Jeffrey Modell Foundation and the leading immunologist Dr Mihaela Bataneant. A tram called “hope” cruised the city at a peak hour full of kids, parents, students and colorful balloons.

WPIW caught the attention of the media. On the 27^th of April Dr Alexis Cochino talked on Digi24TV about PIDs and WPIW and TVR1 read a press statement about the Week to its viewers.

The website Supereroi printre noi released testimonials of PID patients and Europa FM dedicated the show “Minutul de sanatate” (Minute of Health) to primary immunodeficiencies.
