See the Unseen: Join World PI Week 2025
An estimated 6 million people worldwide live with Primary Immunodeficiencies (PIDs), yet a staggering 70-90% remain undiagnosed, trapped in a cycle of uncertainty. This World PI Week 2025, we’re calling on you to join us in bringing these often-invisible conditions into the light.
For too long, individuals with PIDs have endured years of misdiagnosis and delayed treatment, impacting their health and quality of life. This year’s theme, “See the Unseen: Unite to Uncover the True Stories Behind Primary Immunodeficiencies,” urges us to look beyond the surface and understand the experiences of those with PIDs.
Timely diagnosis is a key challenge, but access to effective treatment and ongoing care is equally vital. People with PIDs can wait several years for a diagnosis, causing serious health problems. However, even with a diagnosis, many face barriers to life-saving therapies and specialised care due to disparities in healthcare systems.
Join IPOPI and its national member organisations in breaking the cycle of uncertainty. Advocate for universal access to early diagnosis, access to timely and consistent treatment, and comprehensive care within the framework of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) for all PID patients everywhere.
We encourage you to visit the World PI Week website, where you’ll find banners, a messaging document, infographics, and other valuable resources to help you spread the word.
Let´s work together to create a world where PIDs are no longer hidden but understood and effectively managed.
