Venezuela – PID session with Medical Students

On September 2nd, the primary immunodeficiency foundation of Venezuela, IDP-Venezuela, conducted an informative session about primary immunodeficiency diseases for postgraduate paediatrics and internal medicine students. 
Firstly, teachers explain the warning signal of PID, the types of humoral and cellular immunodeficiency and the initial diagnostics tests to perform. 
Secondly, both teachers and students discussed the importance of early diagnosis using the example of a clinical case. 
Lastly, the students answered a questionnaire to evaluate the newly acquired information.
The students mentioned in the evaluation: an improvement in their knowledge of PIDs, that now they would be able to better suspect an immunodeficiency disease and what diagnosis tests to use.
