US – IDF Issues White Paper Challenge

In 2022, the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) seeks new ideas to address three topics that are relevant to the PI Community and IDF’s goals of addressing the persistent challenge to achieve earlier diagnosis and expanding and diversifying our community.

In an effort to seek new solutions, IDF is sponsoring a White Paper Challenge and invites submissions to address innovative practices to expand awareness in underrepresented PI communities, methods to increase equity in clinical trials, or novel approaches to shortening the time between diagnosis and treatment. Individuals, institutions, schools, and researchers are all invited to apply. Applications may be based on an existing model, theory or practice, or it can be a new approach. Three awards of $10,000 each will be announced in December 2021. The Application deadline is November 30, 2021. For more information, visit www.primaryimmune.org/idf-white-paper-challenge.

IDF Walk for PI

IDF Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency (PI), an initiative of the Immune Deficiency Foundation, unites all members of the PI community to help create better lives for those living with these rare, chronic disorders. The dollars raised by IDF Walk for PI ensure that IDF can continue to provide educational resources and programs at no cost to individuals and families, power critical patient-focused research, lead the way in the fight to improve diagnosis and access to treatment, and bring together the entire PI community to remind them that they are not alone.

Virtual Walks will be held in 32 locations across the United States in addition to a Stride with IDF Coast to Coast virtual event for those who don’t have a walk in their community.  Teams have until December 15 to fundraise. For more information, visit www.walkforpi.org.
