SAS celebrates World Blood Donor Day
On June 14, volunteers from the Stichting voor Afweerstoornissen visited various venues of Sanquin blood bank to celebrate World Blood Donor Day. The volunteers gave the blood-and plasma donors a treat to thank them for their donation. The donors and the staff were very pleased to meet someone who is a user of plasma products. It re-motivated them: they could see who the patients that they are helping with their work and their donations were.
Some SAS volunteers were asked to come more often and talk about how plasma products changed their lives.
