PLUS holds the annual Stakeholder Consensus Conference
The Platform of Plasma Users (PLUS) organised its Stakeholder Consensus Conference on January 23 – 24, 2024, in Estoril (Portugal).
The meeting gathered representatives from the following stakeholder organisations: Alpha-1 Belgium, Alpha-1 Europe Alliance, the American Platform of Plasma Users (A-PLUS), the European Blood Alliance (EBA), the European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC), the GBS-CIDP Foundation International, the International Federation of Blood Donor Organisations, the International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI), the International Plasma and Fractionation Association (IPFA), Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA), and the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH).
During the two-day conference, participants discussed very relevant and on-going topics, such as the latest developments on the revision of the European legislation for the collection of blood and plasma (SoHO regulation), as well as the EU pharmaceutical legislation and the World Health Organisation’s inclusion of cryoprecipitate on the List of Essential Medicines. Several elements were identified as shared points during the discussions and participants agreed to continue collaborating together on that basis.
