IPOPI Opens Applications for the 2026 Jose Drabwell Research Grant Programme
IPOPI is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 Jose Drabwell Research Grant Programme, an IPOPI initiative dedicated to advancing scientific and clinical research in primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) and associated conditions.
As the field of immunodeficiencies continues to evolve rapidly, IPOPI remains committed to supporting innovative, patient-centred research that generates new knowledge and improves healthcare and quality of life for patients and caregivers worldwide. Building on the success of previous editions, the programme will award three grants of €10,000 each to support novel research across a broad range of disciplines, with applications welcome from researchers, clinicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and patient organisations worldwide. For more information on the scope and rules of application, see details here.
Successful applicants are expected to complete their work within two years and will benefit not only from financial support but also from opportunities to disseminate their work through IPOPI’s channels, helping to ensure that research findings reach patients, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders.
Applications for the 2026 programme are now open, with submissions accepted until 31 August 2026.
Results will be announced on 1 October 2026. Researchers and organisations interested in contributing to the future of immunodeficiency care are encouraged to apply to join IPOPI and help drive research that can make a tangible difference in patients’ lives.
The IPOPI 2026 Jose Drabwell Research Grant Programme is supported by Kedrion and Grifols.
