As in previous years IPOPI is excited to be organising its regional Latin American PID patient’s meeting back to back with the Latin American Society of Immunodeficiencies (LASID) congress in Cancún (Mexico), 10-11 October. IPOPI looks forward to a fruitful meeting where we will be able to bring together patient representatives from our national member organisations in Latin America as well as new prospective members.

The meeting will be open to all congress attendees but with a content specifically focused on patients. The sessions consist of a balanced mix of educational lectures touching upon topics such as PID clinical care and diagnosis, as well as workshops on media, advocacy, strategy and fundraising provided for our members. In this way we aim to provide tools and strategies for them to use when they return to their respective countries to spread the word about PIDs and raise vital awareness in Latin America. IPOPI offers all year long further support to its NMOs to help them with their projects and campaigns. The regional meeting is a great way to learn from each other and come up with new ideas for campaigns and programmes!
