IPOPI PID African Patients meeting starting today!
IPOPI is pleased to have started the African PID Patients Meeting today. Organised back-to-back with our dear friends from the African Society for Immunodeficiency Congress, 1-2 October 2021, in Khartoum Sudan (virtually).
The meeting is shedding light on the main PID challenges and strengthening the region’s knowledge on what are PIDs, their diagnosis and treatment through lectures and interactive sessions.
Today, participants engaged in a round table status update from the African region: patients’ perspective. The session involved a virtual workshop discussing regional challenges.
Tomorrow (2nd October) we have an exciting lecture programme planned; covering ‘Living with a PID’ and addressing stigma. This will be followed by an interactive session to prepare the region for the upcoming World Primary Immunodeficiencies Week (WPIW).
