IPOPI increasing awareness of PIDs in Asia – Taiwan and Philippines

IPOPI is looking forward to its upcoming two National Patients-Doctors meetings in Asia!
Taking place on October 29th in Taipei, the 1st Taiwanese Primary Immunodeficiencies Patients-Doctors Meeting is organised by IPOPI in partnership with the Taiwan Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology.
The 1st Philippines Primary Immunodeficiencies Patients-Doctors Meeting will follow shortly after and be held in Manila on November 5-6. This meeting is being organised by IPOPI in collaboration with the Philippine Society of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (PSAAI).
The events will include interactive patients-doctors workshops as well as medical lectures provided by national and international speakers. Doctors and patients will set the scene for future steps to be taken in the region in an effort to increase PID awareness and improve access to diagnosis and care.

The meetings will foster collaboration between patients and doctors and help initiate the establishment of national PID patient groups. IPOPI has conducted, under its Bob LeBien Asian development programme, similar meetings in neighboring countries in the region such as Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong. IPOPI would like to thank CSL Behring for their support toward the meeting in Taiwan and Kedrion for their support toward the meeting in the Philippines.
