Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) launches new resources for medical professionals

IDF’s medical advisory committee created two new resources to improve diagnostic knowledge for healthcare providers.

Flyers for medical specialists (dermatology; ear, nose, and throat; gastroenterology; hematology/oncology; hepatology; infectious disease; pulmonology; and rheumatology) outline relevant signs and symptoms of primary immunodeficiency and information on diagnosis. All are available at no cost to healthcare providers.

In addition, IDF’s nurse advisory committee created a card for patients to carry with them and share with emergency care providers. This card gives important information about their condition and the precautions needed for their safe care.

Both items can be accessed at www.primaryimmune.org/resources.
