The Global Patients’ Meeting is finally back in person!

The preparations for the XVII IPOPI Global Patients Meeting (GPM) are underway and IPOPI Board and Staff look forward to welcoming all NMOs to Gothenburg, Sweden, October 12-15. As per the tradition, the GPM will be organised in parallel with the biennial meetings of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) and International Nursing Group for Immunodeficiencies (INGID)!

IPOPI members are encouraged to register for the GPM via ESID’s website.

We are currently preparing an interesting and balanced programme, combining both educational and interactive sessions. In this 2022 edition, participants will get the chance to explore topics such as targeted therapies and emerging threats, curative treatments, clinical trials and much more. The programme will allow for IPOPI National Member Organisations (NMOs) to get up to speed with the latest medical advances on PIDs and gain new skills to better manage their national groups.

IPOPI PID Champions Awards Ceremony
All GPM participants are cordially invited to attend the IPOPI PID Champions Awards Ceremony on the evening of October 13. During this dinner we will take the opportunity to recognise the winners of the LeBien (for an adult who has improved conditions for people with PIDs internationally) and Luciano Vassalli (for a young person’s contributions to the PID community) Awards. On top of this, we also have the pleasure to introduce the IPOPI BIG Award, a new initiative to celebrate projects by the community. This dinner will be a spectacular and fun evening for our members, don’t miss it!

On the morning of October 15, the meeting will be closed with a fun social programme currently being planned, so keep an eye out for more information.
