dsai e.V., the German Patient Organization for Primary Immunodeficiencies, looks back on an eventful year with a total of 11 Certified Medical Training Opportunities for about 300 physicians
An important focus for dsai e.V. is the education and training of practising physicians to achieve better and earlier diagnosis of PID across the board. Too few doctors still know about PID. As an organizer, dsai, in cooperation with the scientific directors of various German university hospitals, has been successfully organizing Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses on PID and autoinflammatory diseases throughout Germany for many years.
dsai looks back on the eventful year 2022, this is especially true for the Certified Medical Training. After all, events in 2021 could only be held online due to the pandemic, and dsai partially returned to face-to-face events in 2022. Some of the total eleven events throughout Germany were held hybrid or online. In contrast to last year, COVID-19 was no longer at the forefront of the lecture topics. Speakers now returned to focusing on basic diagnostic topics and important fundamentals related to immune dysregulation and congenital immunodeficiencies. The total of 300 participating physicians came from a wide range of specialities, especially pediatrics, rheumatology, oncology, internal medicine and general medicine.
The next three events have already been fixed for the first quarter of 2023.
