Germany – What’s going on in Germany?

Undersupply of immunoglobulins / printed cards for plasma awareness

Plasma shortage, delivery bottlenecks at all manufacturers of subcutaneous immunoglobulins and since June delivery stop from one manufacturer – that’s the reality in Germany. PID patients are not adequately supplied with immunoglobulins. The delivery stop is based on a cost dispute with the health insurance company. Dsai is fighting with all its might so that talks between the Federal Ministry of Health, the health insurance company and the manufacturer put an end to the delivery stop. But this is an exhausting and lengthy process. Dsai is also in contact with the German ethics council.

Dsai immediately launched a large-scale plasma awareness campaign to improve the plasma situation of all manufacturers of plasma-derived products. In addition to numerous activities, dsai launched printed cards to lay out and distribute everywhere where the message reaches potential donors and their relatives (e.g. universities, medical practices, shops, fitness studios). Supported by dsai-patron, actress Michaela Schaffrath (picture).

✅ Plasma cards can be ordered free of charge via the dsai website.
