Recommendations from the EU Health Summit
IPOPI, as a member of the EU Health Coalition, participated in the 3rd EU Health Summit: Towards an EU Health Union, which took place on 15 November 2022 in Brussels (Belgium).
The meeting focused on how to build a successful EU Health Union to address unmet health and medical needs while advancing health prevention, diagnosis and care. The event was also the perfect opportunity for the launch of a set of recommendations, based on the following topics:
- Digital transformation that would allow the EU to have a common approach to the collection of standardised data and foster the development of digital infrastructures and skills.
- Health system integration in all policy areas, to abandon the existing silos.
- Boost research and innovation through the alignment of current and future EU policies and legislation and a stronger investment in research and innovation.
- Access to innovation to ensure that the patient can benefit from the best diagnosis, treatment and care.
