ESID Focused Meeting in Brussels
IPOPI was pleased to attend the European Society for immunodeficiencies (ESID) focused meeting in Brussels, Belgium focused on the links between primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs), infections and malignancy and gathered 1500 participants, most of which were researchers of these fields.
ESID 2019 featured interesting discussions focusing on PIDs with a well-known increased risk of malignancy, such as DNA repair disorders, CVID, T cell deficiency. The impact of viral infections on the development of malignancies, the immunology of the tumor microenvironment but also issues regarding pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and screening were approached from different perspectives.
CSL Behring’s donations kiosk
Congress participants were invited to symbolically push on the donation’s kiosk button at a dedicated CSL Behring’s booth section.
The generous donation will be used by IPOPI to strengthen its communications activities.
IPOPI was present at ESID 2019 and had a small exhibit space where information of the upcoming IPIC2019 congress was shared with all the participants.
