IPOPI Participates at the ERN RITA General Assembly
Martine Pergent, IPOPI President, and Leire Solis, health policy and advocacy senior manager, participated at the ERN RITA General Assembly that took part in Utrecht (the Netherlands) on October 7-8, 2024. Martine presented to the ERN RITA centre representatives an overview of the activities developed in the past year by IPOPI and Leire provided two presentations: 1) on the work of Screen4Rare and ERN RITA in the field of newborn screening for treatable rare disorders, 2) upcoming European policy and legislative dossiers under discussion.
During the General Assembly, there were some organisational changes as Nico Wulffratt stepped down as coordinator of the Network and was succeeded by Joost Swart (UMC Utrecht, the Netherlands). Additional highlights of the meeting include the launch of the RITA Junior Task Force and the announcement of the implementation of the RITA Directory.
