PID Care China Releases Landmark Report to Improve the Future of PID Patients
On February 28, 2025, in conjunction with Rare Disease Day (RDD), PID Care China officially launched China’s first Report on the Diagnosis, Treatment, and Quality of Life of Patients with PIDs. This groundbreaking report, developed over more than a year of preparation and eight months of rigorous writing and editing, is based on data from over 400 real patients. It provides critical insights into the challenges faced by PID patients, including delayed diagnosis, treatment accessibility, and overall quality of life. By compiling this comprehensive analysis, PID Care China aims to drive greater awareness, improve healthcare accessibility, and advocate for meaningful policy changes that will benefit the entire PID community.
The release of the report marks a significant step forward, fostering stronger partnerships between medical professionals, patient organisations, and policymakers to ensure PID patients receive timely and effective treatment. As awareness grows and policies evolve, this initiative strengthens the foundation for a more inclusive healthcare system—one that prioritises early detection, access to life-saving therapies, and long-term care solutions. PID Care China sincerely thanks Takeda for its valuable support in making this project a reality, contributing to a brighter future for PID patients in China.
