Remembering Dr David Webster

Dr David Webster, a leading primary immunodeficiencies’ physician from the United Kingdom, sadly passed away on August 10 after a prolonged illness.

He will be remembered by his peers and by the patient community for his benevolent and compassionate nature as well as for his medical achievements. Dr Webster was instrumental in starting research on common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) and a pioneer in home therapy for primary immunodeficiency patients.
After his retirement, he served as chairman for the UK Primary Immunodeficiency Association (PIA), the former national patient group for primary immunodeficiencies.

Our thoughts are with his family and the PID patients.
