The Belgian Organisation for Patients with Primary Immunodeficiencies (BOPPI) has been spreading awareness of primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) using the media and partnering with social events!

A national campaign in a popular newspaper

In preparation of WPIW 2016 the Belgian Physicians PID Group (BPIDG) and BOPPI joined hands and, with the support of a sponsor, launched a national information campaign. A 4-page  insert on PIDs was released in a Sunday edition of a popular newspaper. BPIDG took the opportunity to launch an online platform for General Practitioners to test and build up their knowledge about PIDs.

‘Spinning’ Marathon

On Saturday 26 October BOPPI members and their families and friends will cycle their hearts out during a twelve-hour spinning marathon organised in Elouge. A local gym was looking for a charity partner for an event and BOPPI was only too happy to join them.
The event is a big production with DJs, special lighting and lots of fun. All benefits will revert to BOPPI to support them in their upcoming actions and activities.
